After the death of Moses, Joshua was commissioned by GOD to lead His people. The LORD instructed him how he could walk in a pathway of prosperity. Although the LORD promised to never leave or forsake him, Joshua was not exempt from responsibility. The LORD charged him to be strong and courageous regarding the teachings handed down by Moses. If his path was to be prosperous, he must not turn away from GOD’S truth. Likewise, he was instructed to remember, share, and study GOD’S word day and night. By doing so, he would be wise, and his pathway would prosper. (Joshua 1:7-8) Being entirely devoted to GOD does not promise a pathway filled with financial wealth, however, it does promise one of spiritual prosperity, one that leads to eternal life.
