Thy Word

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11

Hid- tsâphan, tsaw-fan’- to hoard up for reserve… “…to conceal, so that a thing may be secret, private, inaccessible; to treasure up. Strongs

Regarding the word of GOD, we need to be hoarders. We should be accumulating and storing away an abundance of the word of GOD in our heart. Lock it up for safe keeping as we would precious jewels, in order that we might not sin against GOD. Making it inaccessible does not mean we fail to share it and allow it to be seen, but rather we lock it up in our heart as to not allow anyone or anything to take it away from us.

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:1-5

When we seek after GOD’S word as a precious jewel, and it is overflowing in our heart there is no room for sin. We are setting our minds on things above rather than things of this world, making our journey a blessed one.
