When the churches of Judea which were in Christ, heard that Paul who formerly persecuted the church was now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy, GOD was glorified. (Galatians 1:22-24) The power of the Gospel caused the people to glorify GOD in Paul. Not Paul the man but rather the transforming power that the Gospel had upon his life. The Gospel changed Paul from the leading persecutor of the church to a chief ambassador of Christ. When such a radical change takes place, it does not go unnoticed and within itself opens a door of opportunity to talk about Jesus. What is so good about the news regarding Jesus that results in one sacrificing their position among the Jewish elite and opting for a life where persecution awaited? What did you hear, what did you see regarding Jesus that led to this dramatic change? No one is beyond the reach of the Gospel’s power to save and when the Gospel reaches one who once tried to destroy the faith he now professes and preaches, GOD is glorified.
