“Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Galatians 1:3-5 (NKJV)
The voluntary work of Jesus was according to the will of GOD our Father. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2nd Peter 3:9
Regarding Jesus and His Father’s Will: “BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.” ” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:9-10
It was GOD’S will that man be rescued from a world of bondage. The willing work of Jesus giving Himself for our sins is how man was and is rescued. This was not only Good News for the Galatians but likewise for all of humanity.
