Do not set aside the grace of GOD

“I do not set aside the grace of God for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”  (Galatians 2:21)

He died that we might live, but if righteousness comes through the law, He did not have to die, making His death useless.

The Galatians had accepted that justification comes by faith in Jesus. They had chosen to be crucified with Christ and live by faith in the Son of GOD who loved and gave Himself for them. (Galatians 2:20) Therefore, Paul emphatically asked, “Oh foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?” (Galatians 3:1)

It is foolish, after being set free, to make a decision to return to bondage. Paul asked, “Who influenced you so that you would rebuild a house where justification cannot be found? How could one see the love of Christ and experience the freedom He provided, return to bondage?

Have we been guilty of the same? Are we closer to returning sometimes than we would like to admit?
