The Path of the Wicked (Proverbs 11)

The word wicked is used nine times in Proverbs 11 in the KJV. The wicked man is an immoral one who is actively involved in evil. This course of the wicked is driven by ungodly intent.

What can one who pursues this path expect?

The wicked shall fall… Proverbs 11:5

When the wicked dies, expectations and hope shall perish… Proverbs 11:7

The wicked shall find themselves facing the trouble and distress that the righteous are delivered from… Proverbs 11:8

When the wicked dies, a city rejoices because his evil influence has been removed… Proverbs 11:10

The mouth of the wicked causes a city to be overthrown… Proverbs 11:11

The wicked man’s works are those of deception… Proverbs 11:18

The wicked shall be punished… Proverbs 11:21

The expectation and hope of the wicked is wrath. Proverbs 11:23

It is a certainty that the wicked will be punished… Proverbs 11:31

The way of the wicked is the way of self-destruction. The wicked set themselves up for a fall by their lack of moral integrity. The righteous must never worry about having difficulties because of something they have done. Life is full of trials and struggles as it is, pair that with a character of moral corruption and destruction is surely to follow.

We should always strive to be people of moral integrity.
