Romans 8:33-39
GOD has already given us the greatest gift possible, why would He withhold anything else from us? We have assurance in Christ. Based upon this truth, “Who shall bring a charge against GOD’S elect?” (It’s GOD who justifies or it is GOD who declares us innocent…) “Who is he who condemns?”
(Here’s what Christ has done and is doing.)
1. Jesus died…
2. Jesus was raised…
3. Jesus is reigning
4. Jesus makes intercession for us…
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
1. Tribulation…
2. Distress…
3. Persecution…
4. Famine…
5. Nakedness…
6. Peril…
7. Sword…
V36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” (Psalm 44:22)
(V37) “In all these things we are more than conquerors…” ὑπερνικάω hypernikáō, hoop-er-nik-ah’-o; from G5228 and G3528; to vanquish beyond, i.e. gain a decisive victory: —more than conquer.
In all things that would seek to separate us from the love of Christ we have gained the decisive victory.
How? “…through Him (Jesus) who loved us.”
There IS victory in Jesus!!!!!
(V38-39)
Because there is victory in Jesus Paul is persuaded or is confident that nothing can separate him from the love of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.
1. Death…
2. Life…
3. Angels…
4. Principalities…
5. Powers…
6. Things present…
7. Things to come…
8. Height…
9. Depth…
10. Any other creature…
As children of GOD are we living as victors or do we leave the impression that the battle is undecided?
Do we leave the impression that we are uncertain of the outcome?
There isn’t any doubt who the winner is; the only choice to be made is which side will we choose?
Reassurance that the final score has already been determined in the battle for our souls and that Jesus wins is Good News! Will we choose the winning side?
