“Do it now! Now? No…. I’ll do it tomorrow.”
“Be Christ-like… absolutely, that’s important.”
“Do it now!”
“Now? Nah, I’ll do it tomorrow…”
“Study the word of GOD more… definitely, that’s important.”
“Do it now!”
“Now? Maybe tomorrow…”
“Tell my neighbor about Jesus… for sure, that’s important.”
“Then do it now!”
“Now? Now is not a good time. Tomorrow is more convenient.”
How many people will learn the Gospel through the procrastinator’s efforts? (Matthew 28:18-20)
How strong will the procrastinator’s Bible knowledge be? (2 Timothy 2:15)
How much attention will the fatherless and widows receive in their distress? (James 1:27)
How prepared will the procrastinator be for the judgment? (Mark 13:32-37)
How many people will learn the Gospel through our efforts? How strong is our knowledge of the Bible? How frequently do we visit and support the fatherless and widows in their struggles? Are we prepared for the judgment?
“Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:13-17)
Tomorrow? No! I’ll do it now!
