Following Christ, means walking through the narrow gate and taking a difficult path. Teachings that require little to no sacrifice, sin that is overlooked, problems being ignored, and encouraging people to live however they want, only to gather and be told how wonderful they are, is not Biblical. There is clearly a standard set forth in the Bible. We should not consider the commandments of Christ as burdensome. What GOD asks of us should not be viewed as some strict restrictive kill joy request. Rather, we should look to the cross of Christ and be motivated to live as commanded because of the great love our LORD has for us. GOD is for us, and anything He asks of us is for our good.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” 1st John 5:2
