Overcoming the World with Faith in Jesus

 “Be of good cheer, I (Jesus) have overcome the world…” (John 16:33)

Those who are born again, overcome the world. (1^st John 5:4) The work Jesus would do—and has now done—as the only begotten born of God, provided what we needed to overcome the world and find peace. The world can chew us up, spit us out, stomp on us, and leave us for dead with no hope of anything good ahead. But Jesus enables us to rise above that hopelessness with the assurance of eternal rest in the heavenly promised land.
