“You must be tired, come on in and stay…”

I read a story from David McLennan that told of a little girl who came home from Sunday school and told her family that the lesson of the day was about a man named Enoch who walked with GOD. One day, she said, they took an especially long walk until GOD said, you must be tired Enoch, come on in and stay, so he did. His friends missed him but knew he was safe because He walked with God.

We can walk with Jesus who is the Way. There will be difficulties and heartaches along the way, but He will never leave or forsake you. Someday, when we have gone the last mile of the way with the Lord, He will invite us to come in and stay. Even though our friends will miss us, it’s ok we’re safe and at rest.
